Demos Tsilikoudis

Founder & Partner

Demos Tsilikoudis (he/him), Partner and Co-Founder of Advance NYC, brings a breadth of expertise in event-focused partnerships and projects, with over 20 years of experience in live event production, theatrical production and management, fundraising, event marketing, and design from both the nonprofit and for-profit worlds. In his work with Advance NYC, he has drawn from his knowledge in asset creation, marketing, promotions, publicity, and corporate partnerships to plan and execute a wide range of high-profile, large-scale engagements including Helen Keller International’s Spirit of Helen Keller Gala, Labyrinth Theater Company’s Celebrity Charades, and ArtsConnection’s annual Benefit Celebration. Prior to Advance NYC, Demos led projects in logistic management and production planning for the national tour of 24M: The DRIVE4COPD Monument, a 13-ton traveling art installation; production management for the first annual NY Television Festival; general management for the NY Musical Theater Festival; and fundraising event management for the Parkinson's Disease Foundation, as well as Off-Broadway general management.

In the first ten years of Advance, Demos acted as lead consultant, offering his extensive knowledge of event-production, business-planning, and strategy, while also managing the company’s general operations, human resources, and finance. Since 2020, Demos has shifted his focus internally to lead the company’s operations and financial management, ensuring that every Advance NYC team member and client is sufficiently and carefully supported by the infrastructure of the company. He has become Advance’s physical and logistical problem-solver on a macro-level as well as in everyday functions, ultimately fulfilling his goal of creating a company that offers upward mobility for staff, while providing the time, care, and flexibility needed to support mission-driven organizations in pursuit of a better world. Demos once boasted long locks, minored in dance in college, and continues to grow his encyclopedic-like knowledge of Star Wars with the help of his sons.
