Molly Murphy

Molly Murphy

Project Manager

Molly Murphy has served as an integral member of the Advance NYC team since 2014, designing and implementing institutional and individual giving strategies, drafting major grant proposals, and creating and managing grant calendars and timelines for non-profits including Fiasco Theater, the Louis Armstrong House Museum, The American Museum of Natural History, New York City Children's Theater, and Prospect Park Alliance, among others. She also works as a professional musician in New York City, has recorded collaboratively and as a solo artist, and produces community concert series and variety nights showcasing multi-genre artists. Prior to Advance NYC, Molly worked for The Playwright's Foundation and Fishamble: The New Play Company, assisting with artist retreats, fundraising events, and front of house and stage management. Molly received a theater arts degree from Santa Clara University, where she majored in acting and playwriting. She loves post-apocalyptic fiction, tap dancing, and has a (not so) secret comic book collection.
